The first burn is everything. When you light your candle for the very first time, let it burn until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass. This usually takes around 2 to 3 hours. This sets the wax "memory" and ensures an even, full burn every single time after that. Skipping this step is the most common reason candles tunnel, so be patient on that first night!

2. Blow out the flame gently — you want the fragrant smoke, not an ongoing flame
3. Set it down on a fire-safe dish and let the smoke drift through your space
4. Keep it away from drafts and never leave it unattended while it's smouldering

When you're done, press the lit end firmly against your dish to extinguish it fully.
