The Process

INQUIRE Complete the short form below with the basic information to get us started, such as event date, location and guest count. Within 2 weeks, you’ll get an email response from me.

DATE CONFIRMATION After we have reviewed your basic information and assessed our availability for your event, you will receieve an email to confirm our availability.

Following this, you will recieve a detailed questionnaire which will help us to determine exactly what you're after for your special day.

MORE INFORMATION We’ll schedule a phone consultation to connect and talk a bit more about your dream vision and floral requirements if we require more information or clarification regarding anything in your questionnaire.

ESTIMATE & CONTRACT Once we have determined exactly what you're after, we will create a personalised quote for you. If you're happy to go ahead with this quote, you will be asked to sign the contract.

DEPOSIT After you have signed the contract, you will be required to pay the deposit amount as specified on the quote. Once your deposit is paid, you're officially in the Hey Posy calendar! Date saved, woohoo!

THE EVENT Once I’m booked as your florist, you can check that off your list! I’ll handle the rest of the details and we’ll communicate as needed. I’m always just an email or phone call away if there’s anything else I can help with during the process. I look forward to being a part of your special day!

Where are you based?

Hervey Bay, Queensland, however we service weddings all over the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay Burnett regions.

How much do wedding flowers cost?

Scroll back up to our handy Wedding Pricing Guide. We do have MINIMUM SPENDS when it comes to our wedding floral design.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Dried : At least 6 weeks notice for dried flowers.

Fresh : We are happy to take a deposit to secure your booking from 12 months out from your wedding date.

Why wont you guarantee specific flower types?

We never promise our brides any particular flowers. We're working with mother nature and seasonal availability as well as market availability and importing issues. We would hate to disappoint you in the case we can't source the product. Instead, we encourage our clients to focus on an overall aesthetic - a vibe that you want your space to feel. We take into account your preferred flowers and do our best to source them. As the experts, we'd love to open your eyes into the world of flowers + design.

CO-ORDINATION? Planning? Styling?

Absolutely, with ten years experience of weddings across the Fraser Coast - we know all the best vendors, Locations, wedding day timelines etc. We are always happy to serve our couples with any ideas, tips, recommendations, & advice in these areas. 

If it’s a full Co-ordinaton, Planning, Styling of your wedding day you are looking for, “get in touch here - or email etc”. We exclusively offer this additional service to 3 couples each year - making sure the planning process is smooth from start to finish & your day is perfect.

Do you have photos of bouquets to choose from? 

No. Every Hey Posy wedding design is unique - you can see examples of our work for inspiration via the Wedding Gallery.

Do you work with faux or dried flowers?

We don’t work with faux/artificial flowers. If you have already engaged another vendor who supplies faux florals as part of their styling services, we recommend chatting to us first before to ensure aesthetic consistency and aligning with our business philosophy.

We can provide dried/preserved wedding flowers - we offer this service through our retail arm of our business as the creative and logistics of the product is very different.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

Nope - we’re the experts! It’s helpful to know your vibe/colour palette - but we can guide you through the entire design. Having a rough idea of your total floral budget is a great guide / starting point for us to be able to make informed suggestions.

What happens to the flowers after the wedding?

You're welcome to take all of the flowers! Depending on your venue and the other vendors involved, we can help work out the logistics for you.

If we are required to bump out/pull apart mechanics / vessels, flowers can be left at the venue for you to collect or we will sustainably dispose for you.

What are your sustainability practices?

We aim to keep all of our weddings, where possible, floral foam free. 

We continue to educate ourselves on best practice in this area and are proud to use environmentally sustainable products, packaging and mechanics. 

Why is there a ‘cleaning fee’ on my quote? 

Flowers are a messy biz! After your flowers are delivered to you, time is spent cleaning and disintecting buckets and vases and our tools etc., rubbish to compost or dispose and sometimes vehicles to clean (we often hire vans). This is a flat rate.

Dates to be wary of / avoid when booking / aware of?

The following dates get a little tricky -

Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Summer (Xmas/New Year in particular)

What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel my date?

Deposit is non-refundable, but absolutely transferable to a new date if we are available.
